A downloadable game for Windows

A game I've been working on I need feedback so please comment on it and how you like it and how you dislike it. I want positive and negative or negative only which ever  you prefer.  The reason i want both is to know what to fix and change such as bugs. The controls are 0 to open menu arrow keys to move and enter or spacebar for actions.

The finale story update is out (I will still update the bugs and stuff if there is any)

My Opinions!

ok, now I'm not really a connoisseur of RPG games, but I do have a word to say abt this game! Fair warning, I chose not to play until the endgame, only the beginning parts of the game, since it already has MANY problems it needs to fix on its own. First of all. I'm assuming this is a game with low/no budget in it, and I can understand, but it still has a few flaws that (if fixed) would TREMENDOUSLY help improve the game!

First of all, the story! The game first and foremost dives straight into the narrative with no backstory and no foreshadowing of the sort. "Player" (your character) takes one step forward and suddenly a weirdly ominous textbox says to "kill them." This could've been made better if the "Player" was someone from another world, or maybe someone who woke up and doesn't know whatever's happening, but no. Once you're in a fight with the Imps, someone miraculously joins in (named "Therese") and becomes your new party member. The introduction to Therese was... anti-climactic and non-sufficient, to say the least. They weren't given a proper introduction or even a saving hero entrance, just suddenly waltzing in on your fight. After your encounter with her, you're sent STRAIGHT to the Adventurer's Guild with minimal explanation. Again, if the player was introduced to be someone not from this world, it would make sense. There isn't much to add since the first 10 minutes of the game were confusing and didn't catch my attention. Again, a better introduction to the world and characters could have piqued the player's interest.

Next, the grammar. If the developer isn't a Native, I would tremendously understand since English is a hard language to understand. But the story also suffers from the poor grammar and weak dialogue between characters, so even though it is soul-crushing, the game needs editing in terms of dialogue, item names, heck, even Character Names (I'm still bummed that I wasn't able to name myself in the game and was immediately assigned "Player")

Next up is the items. The weapons sold to the user are not even compatible, plus the accessories! Heck, I only bought the Leather Gloves because they were the only ones with a clear improvement on my stats! The rest had -5s on them! Adding a clear hierarchy with the weapons would have enticed me to grind, but seeing the incompatible weapons and useless accessories (plus the lack of skillbook stores!) simply makes me want to turn away and quit playing the game. The only shop that has some semblance of purpose was the mage's shop, but even then the only useful things she sold were the Dispel Herb (which you can grind for), a Reviving Item, a Healing item, and an Arcane Bow. Again, if there was a clear hierarchy with the items sold, it would have been exciting to level up.

Lastly, a clear goal. The player can't just run around and explore without clear boundaries and goals. I was pretty confused walking around because from the info given to me, there was suddenly an opened portal nobody understands about. That's it. What are we supposed to do with that info? Again, it's a problem stemming from the game's poor grammar and storyline. If the plot points were made clearer, say,  the Party has to go defeat the Demon Lord but they need to gather many troops and get good armor or something. But NO the guild master leaves us to our devices after telling us that we get rewarded for things we did (though, there were NO quest boards or people in need of help in the city at all)

Again, I haven't played that far into the game since it immediately turned me off after a stack of undesirable turnouts, but I am genuinely looking forward to the improved and revised version! I hope the developer doesn't disappoint! ^^

Yeah I kinda messed the game up big time sorry lol. I will definitly  take into account what you said when i make another game or an update to this game thanks for the tips.  Also i wasn't able to make you able to name your character because some events wouldn't occur without a specific name,

It's cool! looking forward for your new games or updates!
